The director of this branch is racist and disrespect for English speakers and is dishonest in his dealings with customer. I bought a car from them and they gave me a wrong summer tires (in the contract) and after a month of complaining he cheated me with tires are unusable and very old.
Drove in from Ontario with two very over-tired and restless young ones after a very long day. The staff were exceptionally patient and accommodating, especially the woman at the front desk who was so kind and went the extra mile, providing the kids with some activities. I worked with salesman Pat who was very helpful, not pushy in any way. I don’t speak French but this was a non issue, and I didn’t feel any type of prejudice, even from the (primarily) French speaking staff. The dealership itself is actually quite beautiful and clean with a lovely coffee bar and comfy lounge area. If need be I would travel the distance again!
I bought a used Mini Countryman from Joliette Dodge. I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where finding a used Mini is very difficult. I contacted the dealership and had them send me the service record of the car, and was assured that it had required minimal work to prepare for sale, and that there were no problems with it. I spoke at length with Patrick about the car, and about the fact that I would be driving it back across two provinces. He assured me the car was safe and had no issues.
I flew out to Montreal, then took a taxi to Joliette. Upon arrival, there were two warning lights on in the car - a lightbulb warning and a tire pressure warning. Patrick sent me over to the shop to have it looked at, where I was assured that the tire pressure light was just as a result of the sensors in the tires not being connected properly when the winter tires were put on, and perhaps the warning light would turn off, or perhaps I would have to live with it. The mechanics topped up the air in the tires. The rear brake light was out, and the mechanics replaced it, which took around an hour, while I waited. After driving the car around the block to ensure the brake light was working, I noted a clunking in the steering. Patrick assured me this was just because the car had sat for awhile and was stiff. Patrick assured me that the car had been thoroughly inspected and had no issues.
On the drive back to Manitoba, the headlights seemed dim while night driving. The clunking in the steering remained. The tire pressure light remained on.
A week later, the engine light came on, and the car stalled. The engine then went to reduced power.
I took it to my Mini service centre, where the following problems were found:
Spark Plugs and Coils needed replacing, causing multiple misfires: $390
Driving lights inoperable: $156.88
Leaking tire valve stem: $79.95
Play in steering gear, requires replacement of steering rack and alignment and reprogramming: $5148.15
The car needs nearly $5800 worth of work in order to be driveable. I now have a $14000 driveway ornament.
Do not, under any circumstance, buy a vehicle from this dealership.
Dissatisfied, my rendezvous vous was for 10:00am,got out of their at 2:10pm,was missing 4 employees, they could have let me know ahead of time
Stephane Legault you are amazing!!! Your attention to detail before and after purchase is awesome!!! I will certainly recommend you to everyone.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excellent service. Salesman Patrick Lewis assisted us very well and gave us a perfect deal.
I got Grand cherokee L from Patrick Lewis. Great salesman. I got a nice deal. I’m very happy with my purchase. Thanks patrick
Thanks Joliette Chrysler
Bad customer service from the director himself. After many unkept promises such as delays and repairs that were never done (for which we waited an additional week for)… the dealership contacted me to let me know that they were going to unregister the vehicle and begin the process to repossess it. Why you ask? Because THEIR salesman wrote a blank cheque to the SAAQ, and the SAAQ employee covered all charges without even asking us. A $475 error caused by the salesman and SAAQ employee, we were being threatened for. As I read the reviews here, it’s clear to me why we were treated this way. My partner is English, and he did most of the transactions. As soon as I got on the phone and spoke French, everyone was apologetic. Ridiculous right? If you are English speaking, take your money elsewhere.
